In a shocking and tragic event that has captured national attention, a woman in South Korea attempted to eliminate a cockroach in her home by creating a makeshift flamethrower using a lighter and spray. This incident took place in the city of Osan.
Unfortunately, her efforts led to a deadly outcome as the fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire apartment building. A 30-year-old Chinese woman, who lived on the fifth floor with her husband and their two-month-old baby, lost her life in the blaze.
Details of the Incident
As smoke and flames blocked their escape route, the couple made a desperate decision to throw their baby out of the window to a neighbor for safety. The husband managed to reach a safe area, but the woman fell and sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries a few hours later.
The building housed over 30 apartments along with commercial shops on the ground floor. At least eight individuals suffered from smoke inhalation due to the fire. Authorities are preparing to issue a warrant against the woman for negligent homicide and arson.
