Fatal Accident Near Ammunition Depot

A tragic incident occurred in Pulgaon, located in the Wardha district of Maharashtra, where a young man lost his life due to injuries inflicted by metal fragments while safely disposing of old explosives near a central ammunition depot. This information was confirmed by local police on Thursday.


The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Sandeep Tuddam, a resident of Kelapur. According to police reports, Tuddam had ventured into the restricted area of the Songaon military camp with several others to collect metal from the explosives being destroyed.


As per the First Information Report (FIR) filed at the Doli police station, metal fragments from the explosives struck Tuddam in the chest, leading to his untimely death. Local sources indicate that despite previous accidents, villagers continue to enter this restricted zone to gather metal from explosives.
