In a heartbreaking event in Ramnagar, Karnataka, a man reportedly took the life of his wife before ending his own. This tragic news was confirmed by local authorities on Thursday.


The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Naveen Kumar and his 30-year-old wife, Vatsala.


According to police reports, the couple had been married for eight years and had a seven-year-old daughter who was at her grandparents' house during the incident. The occurrence took place on December 15 in the village of Hagalahalli, located in the southern part of Bengaluru.


Authorities noted that the couple frequently argued over trivial matters. Kumar operated a hotel near their residence, while Vatsala was employed at a sofa manufacturing unit in the Bidadi industrial area.


Reports indicate that Kumar was opposed to Vatsala's job and allegedly pressured her to resign. A senior police officer revealed that Vatsala had filed a complaint at a women's police station following a dispute the previous week.


On the day of the incident, an argument escalated between the husband and wife, leading Kumar to strangle Vatsala to death in their home. Subsequently, he took his own life by hanging himself. The police have stated that the bodies have been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem examinations.
