Tragic Incident in Gurugram: Man Dies After Air Compressor Attack
Shocking Event in Gurugram Workshop
In a disturbing incident in the Ramapura area of Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi, a young man tragically lost his life after a playful argument escalated into a horrific act. During a light-hearted moment, a dispute arose, leading one individual to use an industrial air compressor to inject air into his friend's body. The pressure was so intense that it ruptured the victim's intestines, resulting in his death just hours after receiving medical attention. Authorities have apprehended the suspect in this case.
The incident occurred around 1:30 PM on Tuesday at a workshop named Tarun Enterprises in Ramapura village. Reports indicate that 38-year-old Harvinder, originally from Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), and 40-year-old Naresh from Deeg, Rajasthan, were working together. What began as friendly banter quickly turned into a heated argument.
In a fit of rage, Naresh directed the nozzle of the powerful air compressor at Harvinder's private area and released air. Within moments, Harvinder's abdomen swelled dramatically, and the internal pressure caused his stomach to burst.
Witnesses described the scene as horrifying, noting that the air pressure forced Harvinder's intestines out of his body. He was rushed to a private hospital, where medical staff worked tirelessly to save him, but he succumbed to his injuries late Tuesday evening. Dr. Deepak Mathur, who conducted the autopsy, stated that the internal air pressure exploded like a bomb, leading to the complete destruction of internal organs.
Harvinder had been working as a welder in Gurugram for the past eight years and is survived by four daughters and a young son, who live with their grandfather in the village. The news of his death has plunged his family into mourning, as he was the sole breadwinner.
The Khedki Daula police have registered a murder case (under Section 302) against the accused, Naresh Kumar, based on a complaint from the victim's brother, and have taken him into custody. Naresh works as a JCB driver. Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar mentioned that the investigation is also looking into whether this was merely a spontaneous dispute or if there was an underlying grudge.
Industrial experts warn that the pressure from air compressors is so powerful that it is used for cleaning metals and inflating tires. If applied to any bodily orifice, it can tear lungs and intestines within seconds. Such dangerous pranks at workplaces can often prove fatal.
