A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where a class 8 student tragically took her own life following a horrific assault. The post-mortem report has confirmed both sexual assault and physical injuries.

In the Mirganj area of Bareilly, a minor girl was reportedly raped, leading to her suicide. According to reports, the 8th-grade student hanged herself after the traumatic incident. Authorities have arrested a 26-year-old man named Zeeshan in connection with the case. Police sources revealed that on April 27, Zeeshan lured the girl from her village and subjected her to brutal assault.

Post-Mortem Confirms Assault

The young girl, overwhelmed by the trauma inflicted by Zeeshan, returned home and took her life. The post-mortem examination confirmed the sexual assault, revealing signs of abuse and multiple physical injuries, including bite marks and scratches. Anshika Verma, the Additional Superintendent of Police (South), stated that initially, the family hesitated to report the incident, labeling it as suicide. However, after the post-mortem results indicated rape, they filed a formal complaint.

Allegations of Bribery to Silence Victim's Sister

The victim's younger sister informed the police that Zeeshan frequently visited the area near their school. He would give her small amounts of money to keep her quiet about her sister's meetings. Anshika Verma further explained, 'Based on technical surveillance, CCTV footage, and statements from family members, our team apprehended Zeeshan near the Mirganj weekly market on Tuesday. Strict action is being taken against him.' The police are currently interrogating the suspect to delve deeper into the case.
