Tragic Incident in Amravati: 12-Year-Old Murdered Over Chicken Dispute
Shocking Murder in Amravati
A disturbing incident has emerged from Amravati, Maharashtra, where a minor was tragically killed over a trivial argument regarding chicken. In Bhathkuli, the victim, a 12-year-old boy named Jiteraja Gaud, was attacked with a metal rod by his cousin, Babbu Gaud, resulting in his immediate death. In an attempt to conceal the crime, the perpetrator tried to present it as an accident, but the police were able to uncover the truth and apprehended him.
The incident took place in the Bhathkuli taluka, where both the victim and the accused, aged 21, are originally from Madhya Pradesh. They had come to Bhathkuli for work. Reports indicate that a dispute over chicken escalated, leading Babbu to lose control and strike Jiteraja with a rod inside their home. The severe head injury caused Jiteraja's death on the spot.
False Report Filed at the Police Station
After committing the crime, Babbu and the victim's father attempted to mislead the police. The father reported that his son had suffered an accident, leading to a false report being filed at the police station. He hoped to have the case dismissed as an accident rather than a murder.
However, the Bhathkuli police grew suspicious during their initial investigation. Upon conducting a thorough examination of the crime scene and detailed questioning, the fabricated story of the family began to unravel. The police found inconsistencies between the injuries on Jiteraja's body and the circumstances surrounding his death. After intense interrogation, Babbu confessed to his crime, and the victim's father was also implicated for attempting to obstruct justice.
