Tragic Incident: Camel Kills Owner in Rajasthan
Shocking Death of a Farmer
A tragic event has unfolded in Churu district, Rajasthan, where a farmer met a horrific fate at the hands of his own camel. The farmer, who had borrowed money to purchase the camel for his family's livelihood, was killed in a brutal attack that has left his family in shock. The camel reportedly clamped its jaws around the farmer's head, crushing it like a watermelon, before tossing him into the air and slamming him back to the ground. The farmer died on the spot, and the camel has since been tied to a tree as the family contemplates its fate.
The Camel's Role in the Family
According to local police, the victim, identified as Ram Lal, had bought the camel about a month ago from a resident of Churu. Initially, he kept the animal tied near his home, but recently began using it for work, helping him earn a living to support his three children.
A Fatal Encounter
On Saturday, while preparing to tie the camel to a cart, Ram Lal was unexpectedly attacked. The camel, agitated, knocked him down and then seized his head in its jaws. Despite Ram Lal's desperate screams, he succumbed within seconds as the camel crushed his skull.
Family's Reaction and Future Plans
After the incident, family members attempted to control the camel, which remained near Ram Lal's body for some time. Eventually, they tied it to a khejri tree but expressed their unwillingness to keep the animal, stating they were preparing to kill it.
Previous Similar Incidents
This is not the first occurrence of such a tragedy; a similar incident was reported five months ago in Bikaner, where a father of four was also killed by his camel. Following that incident, the enraged family tied the camel to a tree and beat it to death.
Dangers of Handling Camels
Experts note that camels can be particularly sensitive animals, and when provoked, they can become uncontrollable. There have been multiple fatalities resulting from camel attacks, highlighting the risks associated with handling these animals.
