Tragic Incident at Jaipur University: MBA Student Jumps from Sixth Floor Before Exam
Heartbreaking Event at Purnima University
Jaipur witnessed a tragic incident on Saturday morning at Purnima University, located in the Shivdaspura police station area. A 23-year-old MBA second-year student, Yashasvi Rohilla, took her own life by jumping from the sixth floor of the university building just before her exam was set to begin. Following the incident, she was rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. The police have since placed her body in the hospital's morgue. Yashasvi, a promising student from Prem Nagar in Gurjar Ki Thadi, had recently secured a placement with a reputable company and was excited about her bright future.
According to university officials, the mid-semester exam for the MBA program was scheduled for Saturday morning. Up until shortly before entering the exam hall, Yashasvi was seen engaging in cheerful conversations with her classmates. However, she received an unexpected call on her mobile phone, after which she abruptly left the classroom and headed towards the roof on the sixth floor. Despite her classmates' attempts to stop her, she jumped from the railing in front of them. This shocking event caused chaos throughout the university, prompting the administration to immediately postpone all exams scheduled for that day.
Upon receiving news of the incident, the Shivdaspura police arrived at the scene and initiated a thorough investigation. Initial assessments suggest that the case may be related to a romantic relationship. Investigators have seized Yashasvi's mobile phone, and preliminary technical analysis revealed that she had sent a message on WhatsApp and made a call to a specific number just seconds before taking her drastic step. The police are now conducting a detailed technical examination of the suspicious number, WhatsApp chat, and call detail records to uncover the true reasons behind her suicide.
Meanwhile, the sudden death of their beloved daughter has plunged Yashasvi's family into mourning. Her father had passed away earlier, while her mother works in the statistics department of the state secretariat, and her brother is a lawyer. Family members and relatives who arrived at the hospital expressed their outrage over the university's security measures. They claimed that despite government guidelines, there were no security guards stationed in sensitive areas of the building, allowing Yashasvi to access the roof so easily. Based on a written complaint from the family, the police have commenced further legal action.
