Details of the Helicopter Crash
A music producer who was scheduled to be on the helicopter that tragically crashed in Brazil, resulting in the deaths of singer Oliver Tree and five others, revealed he opted out of the flight at the last moment due to his fear of flying. Victor Wao initially planned to join the group on June 14 but chose to travel by car instead after his friend, Argentine producer Lucas Vignale, arranged alternative transportation for him.
In an emotional tribute shared on Instagram after the incident, Wao expressed, "I was supposed to be with you in that helicopter, but I didn't go at the last minute. You told me that, since I was afraid of flying, you had gotten a car to take me to Angra." He continued, "THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BEST FRIEND I COULD ASK GOD FOR! I will always remember you with that smile on your face that enchanted everyone! I love you, See you on the other side ... I love you forever."
According to authorities, the helicopter involved in the accident was a Bell 206B JetRanger III, which was carrying the 32-year-old singer and others when it collided with another aircraft approximately 300 feet (90 meters) above Recreio dos Bandeirantes in Rio de Janeiro. All six individuals aboard lost their lives.

Among the deceased were Vignale, YouTuber Gaspi, Lucas Brito Chaves, and the pilots of both aircraft, Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac. The collision took place above an electric vehicle dealership, where the wreckage ignited a fire that damaged around 20 vehicles. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash, but initial reports from a police investigator suggest that human error may have contributed to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
