Tragic Heart Attack Strikes During Wedding Ceremony in Karnataka
Heartbreaking Incident at a Wedding
A devastating event unfolded in Jamkhandi, a town in Karnataka's Bagalkot district, where a man tragically passed away from a heart attack during wedding celebrations. This unfortunate occurrence happened immediately after he placed the 'Mangalsutra' around his bride's neck, leaving family and friends in utter disbelief.
Groom's Sudden Health Crisis
As reported by a local media outlet, witnesses recounted that the groom, identified as Pravin, began experiencing severe chest pain shortly after the ceremonial tying of the 'Mangalsutra' and collapsed. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities have since sent his body for a postmortem examination.
Another Wedding Tragedy
In a related incident, a 23-year-old woman named Parinita Jain tragically died while dancing at her cousin's wedding in Vidisha earlier this year. Hailing from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, she suddenly fell during her performance. Family members attempted to revive her using CPR, but she was declared dead shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital. Parinita was an MBA graduate living with her parents in South Tukoganj, Indore.
Rising Incidents of Cardiac Arrests
These recent events underscore a troubling trend of sudden heart attacks occurring during festive occasions across India. For instance, a 15-year-old boy suffered a fatal heart attack while playing cricket in Agar-Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, a 73-year-old man experienced a cardiac arrest while dancing at a yoga event in Indore. Such incidents raise concerns about the increasing frequency of unexpected heart-related emergencies.
