On Wednesday afternoon, a gas cylinder explosion in a residential home resulted in the deaths of three individuals. The blast was so powerful that it completely demolished two houses in the vicinity. Explosion Shatters the Afternoon Silence
The incident took place in the village of Kamaravaripalli, located in the Kadiri mandal. According to police reports, the explosion occurred around 12:30 PM on Wednesday. The victims were migrant workers from Telangana residing in the affected house. The force of the explosion and subsequent fire caused two homes to collapse, leading to the deaths of three workers who were trapped and burned under the debris.
Similar Incident in Haryana
In a related note, police reported a similar explosion earlier this month in Yamunanagar, Haryana. A gas leak in a residential quarter for migrant workers resulted in a fire that injured 11 people, including seven children. A police official stated that initial reports indicated a gas leak from the cylinder, which quickly ignited, causing the walls of the quarter to collapse.
Injured Individuals Receiving Medical Care
The area where the explosion occurred is adjacent to a factory employing migrant workers. Reports indicate that among the injured are seven children, two women, and two men. Following the incident, the injured were transported to a civil hospital, with some severely burned individuals referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh for advanced treatment. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
