Fire Breaks Out in Two Coaches of Tata Ernakulam Express

A tragic incident occurred near Elamanchili in Andhra Pradesh when a fire erupted in two coaches of the Tata Ernakulam Express, resulting in the death of one passenger. Railway officials reported that the fire broke out early Monday morning in Anakapalli district.


The alarming event took place around 1 AM when the train's loco pilot noticed flames in one of the coaches and promptly halted the train. Most passengers were evacuated quickly, but unfortunately, a body was later discovered in the burned coach.


According to officials, one coach had 82 passengers while the other had 76. Sadly, a deceased individual was identified as Chandrashekhar Sundaram. The damaged coaches were detached from the train, which then continued its journey towards Ernakulam. Arrangements will be made to send the affected passengers to their destinations.


To determine the cause of the fire, two forensic teams have been assigned to investigate the incident.


Previous Incident at Gondia Railway Station

Earlier, a similar incident occurred at Gondia railway station in Maharashtra, where a fire broke out in a coach of an accident relief medical van. The train was stationed on platform number 3 when some passengers noticed the flames.


Officials arrived promptly and managed to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in this incident.
