New Delhi: A catastrophic fire erupted at a restaurant in Malviya Nagar, South Delhi, on Wednesday, resulting in the tragic loss of 18 lives and leaving numerous others injured, according to officials.


The Delhi Fire Service reported that three individuals were successfully rescued from the restaurant's basement, known as Lemon Green.


Firefighters were dispatched promptly to the scene to manage the situation, with multiple fire engines arriving around 8:50 AM.


The injured were transported to a nearby hospital via CATS ambulances, although their current health status remains unclear.
