A Shocking Incident Unfolds

In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident occurred when a younger brother brutally killed his elder sibling over inappropriate behavior towards his wife. Seizing an opportunity, the younger brother attacked his elder sibling with a brick, resulting in a fatality, and subsequently concealed the body in nearby bushes.


Identification Through a Tattoo

On April 29, a body was discovered in the bushes along a canal in the Charathawal police jurisdiction. The deceased had the name 'Deepak' tattooed on his hand. Authorities took possession of the body and initiated efforts to identify it, leading to the identification of the victim as Deepak from Ruknipur village.


CCTV Footage Reveals the Truth

During the investigation, police reviewed CCTV footage from April 28, which revealed that the victim, Deepak, was seen riding a motorcycle with his younger brother, Sachin, who had taken him out while he was heavily intoxicated. Upon returning, Sachin was alone, raising suspicions. When questioned rigorously, the truth began to surface.


Confession of the Younger Brother

Sachin confessed that Deepak frequently harassed his wife and had been eyeing her inappropriately. Frustrated by his brother's behavior and his plans to sell land to fund his drinking habits, Sachin decided to take drastic action. He brutally attacked Deepak with a brick near the canal and disposed of the body in the bushes before fleeing the scene.


Police Response

CO Ravi Shankar Mishra provided further details, confirming that the body was found on April 29 near the canal. The identification process revealed the victim's identity, and with the help of family members, police reviewed CCTV footage and conducted interviews. It was established that Sachin had taken Deepak out while he was intoxicated and subsequently killed him.


Background of the Victim

Mishra noted that Deepak was married, but his wife had returned to her parental home some time ago, leading to a mutual decision to separate. Following the receipt of a formal complaint, a case was registered, and Sachin was arrested. The brick used in the crime was also recovered based on his guidance.
