A distressing incident has emerged from the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, where a family dispute escalated tragically. In the village of Mudi Khurdakala, a woman stabbed her nephew, resulting in his death. The conflict stemmed from a long-standing disagreement over ancestral land.

Umakant, aged 28, had been embroiled in a dispute regarding the division of family property with his uncle Charan Pal and aunt Anita Devi. Reports indicate that on Saturday morning, a confrontation occurred between Anita and Umakant's family, although he was not present at the time, having gone to work at a jute factory.

Upon returning home in the evening, Umakant encountered his aunt standing at her doorstep. As he passed by, she unexpectedly launched a knife attack on him.

Umakant was caught off guard and fell to the ground, bleeding profusely. Neighbors and family members rushed to his aid after hearing his cries. Despite being quickly transported to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, leading to devastation among his family.

Forensic Investigation Underway

Following the incident, local police, along with forensic experts, arrived at the scene to gather evidence. They cordoned off the area and meticulously examined blood samples, knife marks, and the surrounding conditions. The body was subsequently taken for an autopsy.

Umakant's relatives filed a complaint against Anita Devi at the police station, leading to her immediate arrest.
