A deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman allegedly stabbed her nephew, resulting in his death. The motive behind this tragic act appears to be a long-standing dispute over ancestral land.

The victim, 28-year-old Umakant, had been embroiled in a conflict regarding the division of family property with his uncle Charan Pal and aunt Anita Devi. Reports indicate that a heated argument occurred on Saturday morning between Anita and Umakant's family, although he was not present at the time as he was working at a local factory.

Upon returning home that evening, Umakant encountered his aunt standing at her doorstep. Without warning, she launched a violent attack on him with a knife.

Umakant had no chance to defend himself and collapsed to the ground, bleeding profusely. Neighbors and family members rushed to his aid, but despite being taken to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The news devastated his family, leaving them in deep mourning.

Forensic Investigation Underway

Following the incident, police from Bhuta station, along with forensic experts, arrived at the scene. They cordoned off the area and meticulously collected evidence, including blood samples and knife marks. The body was subsequently sent for autopsy.
