Jaipur: On Monday, a tragic incident in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district resulted in the electrocution of eight laborers engaged in a road construction project, according to local police reports.
The accident took place in Chhapoli village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Udaipurwati police station.
Rampal, the Station House Officer of Udaipurwati, explained that the mishap occurred when a gravel-mixing machine accidentally touched an overhead high-voltage power line.
"The contact with the high-tension line caused an electric current to flow through the machine, leading to the electrocution of the laborers present at the site," he stated.
