Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Lives of Four Children in Bihar
Drowning Tragedy in Bihar's Sarhan District
On Tuesday, a heartbreaking incident occurred in the Sarhan district of Bihar, where four children tragically drowned while swimming in a pond, as reported by local authorities. The victims have been identified as 14-year-old Ashish Kumar, 11-year-old Munna Kumar, 13-year-old Karim, and another 11-year-old named Ankush.
The unfortunate event took place in the Maricha Thikha village, located within the Garkha police station area. According to Shashi Ranjan Kumar, the officer in charge of the Garkha police station, the children had gone to the village pond for a swim during the afternoon. While swimming, they gradually ventured into deeper waters and subsequently drowned one after the other.
Upon receiving the distressing news, Kumar, along with the local Circle Officer Neeli Yadav and a police team, rushed to the scene with divers. After several hours of effort, with the assistance of villagers, the bodies of all four children were recovered from the pond. The police have completed the necessary paperwork and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
