The accused, identified as Kiran Uraon, has been apprehended by the police. Kailash Kumar, the officer in charge of the Basal police station, reported that the incident occurred in the village of Lem, where the 28-year-old Ashok Uraon succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Kumar noted that Ashok frequently engaged in arguments with his wife while under the influence of alcohol, often leading to physical altercations. Frustrated by his behavior, Kiran had previously left her marital home multiple times to stay with her parents in Dubilya village, located within the jurisdiction of the Pithoria police station.
Circumstances Leading to the Attack
On the day of the incident, Ashok began to argue with Kiran while intoxicated and attempted to assault her. In response, Kiran grabbed an axe and struck him. The police have since seized the weapon used in the attack and are continuing their investigation.
