Tragic Discovery: Missing Bank Manager Found Dead in Patna
Body of Missing Bank Manager Discovered
In Patna, the body of Abhishek Varun, a bank manager who had been reported missing, was found on Monday in a well located in the Beur jail area. Alongside his body, police also recovered his submerged scooter from the same well. Abhishek was employed as a branch manager at ICICI Lombard and resided in the Kankarbagh area. According to his family, he had attended a family function in the Ramkrishna Nagar area on Sunday night with his wife and children. After the event, he instructed his family to return home while he chose to stay behind.
His wife recounted that after reaching home, she called Abhishek, who informed her that he was on his way. Around 3 AM, he called again to say he had been in an accident. Following that call, his phone went silent, and there was no further communication. The family began searching for him early the next morning, checking nearby hospitals and the bypass area, but found no trace of him. A missing person report was filed at the Kankarbagh police station under FIR number 642/25, prompting an investigation.
The police later discovered a body in a well situated in a field in Hasanpura, identified as Abhishek Varun. Authorities suggest that it appears to be an accident at first glance. DSP Sushil Kumar from Fulwari stated that Abhishek had attended a party on July 13 and left the venue around 10 PM on his two-wheeler. In his last call to his family, he mentioned that his vehicle had fallen on him and that he was surrounded by walls. A missing person case has been registered, and initial assessments indicate it may be an accident.
Meanwhile, Abhishek's mother-in-law and aunt have alleged that those who invited him to the party are responsible for his death. They claim that Abhishek had a conflict with the individual who invited him and that the incident was premeditated. They further alleged that Abhishek was intoxicated before the incident and that his friends were involved in what transpired.
