Investigation Underway After Body Found

In a distressing incident in the village of Antwada, located in the Khatauli police jurisdiction of Muzaffarnagar district, the body of a young man from the Scheduled Caste (Dalit) community was discovered hanging from a tree on Saturday, according to police reports.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Khatauli, Dinesh Chandra, confirmed that the deceased, identified as 20-year-old Nishant, was found hanging. Authorities suspect that the young man may have taken his own life.

The police have stated that the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and an investigation is currently in progress. Chandra mentioned that they are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
