Imphal, Sept 8: Authorities in Delhi have detained eight individuals, including a minor, linked to the death of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh. He reportedly died following an assault by a group of men in the Kilokari Maharani Bagh area of southeast Delhi.

Details of the Arrest

The suspects have been identified as Bharat Kumar (19), Pramod (26), Ramzan Khan (22), Deepanshu (21), Mohan Vishwakarma (32), Vijay (36), Mannu (26), and a 15-year-old minor. All of them were employed at local eateries, with five working at Saini Dhaba.

Investigation Underway

Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack, although they have dismissed any racial motives. Singh's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
