Tragic Construction Accident in Rajasthan Claims Three Lives
Fatal Incident at Resort Construction Site
In a tragic incident at a resort in Amer, Rajasthan, a collapsing wall resulted in the deaths of at least three workers and left three others injured. This unfortunate event took place in the Chandwaji area of Jaipur district, near Talamo. Initial reports indicate that construction was underway for a boundary wall at the Aravali Palace Resort, alongside repairs to a sewage pit. During the work, the wall unexpectedly fell, trapping approximately six workers beneath the debris.
Casualties Reported
Authorities confirmed that two women and one man lost their lives due to being trapped under the rubble. The three injured workers were rescued and taken to a hospital for treatment. Upon receiving news of the wall collapse, local police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene to initiate a rescue operation. Following the incident, a large crowd gathered at the site. Hanuman Prasad Meena, DCP of Jaipur Rural, stated that an investigation has commenced to determine the cause of the wall's collapse.
Previous Construction Mishap Raises Concerns
This incident follows another construction-related accident that occurred on June 25 in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, where a bridge under construction collapsed, injuring at least ten individuals. This incident heightened concerns regarding construction safety standards in the region. The bridge, reportedly in its final stages of completion, had not yet been opened for public use when it suddenly fell. Emergency teams and local officials quickly responded to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured.
Road Accident Claims Three Lives
In a separate incident, a horrific road accident near Dudu in Jaipur district resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left three others seriously injured. This accident occurred on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. According to police reports, a private bus carrying approximately 20 passengers from Chittorgarh was en route to Jaipur.
