Devastating Incident in Jaipur

A horrific road accident occurred in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on the night of January 9, 2026, when a speeding Audi car ran over 16 individuals. The incident took place around 9:30 PM near the Kharabas Circle in the Journalist Colony police jurisdiction. The out-of-control vehicle first collided with a divider before plowing into food stalls and pedestrians, causing chaos and panic in the area.


Casualties and Injuries

One person, identified as Ramesh Bairwa from Bhilwara, tragically lost his life; he was working as a helper at a food stall. Approximately 15 to 16 others sustained injuries, primarily food stall operators, diners, and pedestrians. Four individuals with serious injuries were referred to SMS Hospital, while others were admitted to Jaipur Hospital. Some were discharged after receiving initial treatment.
