Fatal Incident on the Yamuna Expressway


In a heartbreaking incident early Tuesday morning, a severe road accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of four individuals, with around 20 others sustaining injuries. The collision occurred near milestone 112 in the Raya police jurisdiction when a private sleeper Volvo bus traveling from Lucknow to Delhi/Noida crashed into a trailer moving ahead at high speed.


Details of the Accident

Initial reports indicate that the bus was carrying approximately 65 passengers. At around 3:30 AM, the bus collided with a trailer loaded with gravel in the third lane. The impact was so severe that the front section of the bus was completely wrecked.


Witnesses reported that chaos erupted among the passengers immediately following the crash, with many trapped inside the bus.


Casualties and Injuries

Emergency services, including police and expressway rescue teams, promptly initiated a relief operation. A green corridor was established to expedite the transport of the injured to hospitals.
