Tragic Bus Accident in Chamba Claims Seven Lives

Fatal Incident on Tissa–Bairagarh Route

This morning, a serious road accident took place on the Tissa–Bairagarh main road in Chamba district. Reports indicate that a bus, operated by Sharma, was en route from Bairagarh to Chamba when it tragically crashed near Chaluij Mor.


The accident resulted in the loss of seven lives, comprising four men and three women. Among the deceased are both the bus driver and conductor. Furthermore, seven individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to the Civil Hospital in Tissa for medical attention.

Witnesses reported that approximately 15 to 20 passengers were aboard at the time of the incident. The precise cause of the accident remains under investigation.


Local residents and police officials quickly arrived at the scene after being alerted. Authorities have confirmed the occurrence of the accident and have commenced an inquiry.
