Tragic Bus Accident in Andhra Pradesh Leaves 12 Injured
Bus Overturns on National Highway 16
Bhubaneswar/Amaravati: A serious incident occurred early Sunday when a private bus traveling from Chennai to Bhubaneswar lost control and flipped into a roadside drain on National Highway 16 in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, injuring at least 12 individuals.
At the time of the mishap, there were 36 passengers aboard, with 12 suffering from minor injuries. Local residents quickly came to the aid of the trapped individuals and transported them to a nearby government hospital in Nakkapalli.
Authorities believe that the driver may have fallen asleep, which could have contributed to the accident. A majority of the passengers were reported to be from Odisha.
The police have initiated an investigation and filed a case regarding the incident.
