Fatal Incident at Inamdar Sugar Mill

A devastating explosion occurred in a boiler at a sugar mill in Belagavi district on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals and leaving six others with serious injuries, according to police reports.

The incident took place at the Inamdar Sugar Mill located in Marakumbi.

Authorities have identified the deceased as Akshay Topade, Deepak Munnoali, and Sudarshan Banoshi.

K. Ramrajan, the Superintendent of Police for the rural Belagavi district, stated that the explosion happened around 2 PM, causing several people to sustain critical injuries. Tragically, two victims succumbed to their injuries while being transported to the hospital, and a third passed away shortly after arrival.
