Tragic Accident on Lucknow-Delhi Highway Claims Life in Foggy Conditions
Fatal Collision on National Highway
A tragic accident occurred on the bypass of the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway in Bareilly district, resulting in the death of one individual due to dense fog. This information was confirmed by a police official on Sunday.
According to Mukesh Chandra Mishra, the Additional Superintendent of Police (North), the incident took place on Saturday night. The victim has been identified as Roopesh Kumar Agarwal, a 45-year-old resident of Ashok Samrat Nagar in the Baradari area.
Mishra reported that Agarwal, who worked as an accountant for the Faridpur Municipal Council, was returning to Bareilly after completing his duties at the council. He stated that as Agarwal's vehicle approached the underpass near Navadiya Jhada and Bithri Chainpur, it collided violently with another car coming from the opposite direction.
The impact of the crash was so severe that both vehicles were extensively damaged, leaving Agarwal critically injured. Upon receiving the alert, police arrived at the scene and rushed Agarwal to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors. The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and are investigating all aspects of the case.
