Tragic Accident in Uttarakhand Claims Eight Lives

Accident Details

Uttarakhand, Tehri: A tragic incident occurred when residents from three villages in Ghansali were returning from a funeral in Haridwar. Their vehicle met with an accident on the way back.

Near Nail on the Chamba-Kotikholi road, the vehicle plunged into a gorge. There were ten individuals in the vehicle, and unfortunately, eight of them lost their lives at the scene. Brijesh Bhatt, the district disaster management officer, confirmed the fatalities. Additionally, two individuals sustained injuries and have been admitted to the hospital.

Reports indicate that all the victims hailed from the villages of Chanji, Thela, and Chakreda in Ghansali, where they had attended a funeral before heading back home.
