Fatal Incident on Chamba–Masroond Road

A tragic accident occurred around 2 AM last night when a Bolero vehicle veered off course and fell into a steep gorge along the Chamba–Masroond road, leading to the unfortunate deaths of seven individuals.

Initial reports indicate that the victims, comprising four men and three women, hailed from village Kuthed. The collision was so intense that all seven lost their lives instantly.

Upon notification, law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene and, with assistance from local residents, initiated rescue efforts. After considerable work, the bodies were retrieved from the gorge and transported to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba for autopsy.

Authorities have filed a case and commenced an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
