A 16-year-old student tragically lost his life after being struck by a freight train in Faridabad. Authorities reported the incident on Thursday, revealing that the boy was walking along the railway tracks while wearing headphones, which prevented him from hearing the approaching train.


The accident occurred around 9 PM on Wednesday near the Prahladpur village in Ballabgarh. The deceased has been identified as Sagar, a resident of Bhawan Nagla Hasanpur village in the Palwal district. It was noted that Sagar was visiting his maternal grandparents in Prahladpur with his mother.


According to police, Sagar had stepped outside to take a walk with some local children due to a power outage in the village. While walking along the railway tracks and listening to music through his headphones, he failed to hear the horn of the oncoming freight train. Unfortunately, he was struck by the train and died at the scene.
