Shimla, July 28 - A tragic accident occurred late Monday night on the Bharmour-Pathankot state highway near Lahad in Chamba district, resulting in the deaths of five family members. According to sources, the family was en route to Pathankot for medical treatment for their one-year-old sick child when the vehicle plunged into a deep gorge.

Reports indicate that among the deceased are the child, along with the parents and grandparents. However, official confirmation of their identities is still pending.

The police have stated that the exact cause of the accident remains unknown at this time. Initial reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the car falling into the gorge.
