Three Militants Linked to Banned Organizations Arrested in Manipur
Arrests Made in Manipur's Valley Districts
Authorities in Manipur have apprehended three militants associated with banned organizations from two districts in the valley region. The police reported this development on Friday.
According to the police, one of the militants was taken into custody on Thursday, while the other two were arrested on Wednesday in the districts of Imphal West and Thoubal.
Police identified one of the arrested individuals as 45-year-old Mangkhom Keshkumar Singh, a member of the banned militant group Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), who was captured near the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Thursday. Additionally, security forces detained 23-year-old Laishangthem Lamangamba Singh, an active member of the Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdrenkhomba), from his residence in Imphal West on Wednesday. On the same day, another member of the Kangleipak Communist Party, 28-year-old Maibam Rajkumar Singh, was also arrested in the Khongjom area of Thoubal district.
