A thief broke into a Kali temple to steal, but unexpectedly fell asleep while gathering items, leading locals to believe it was a miracle from Goddess Kali. The incident took place at the Kali and Sheetala temple located in Tankisai Barajamada. The thief, under the influence of drugs, managed to break the temple's lock, taking money from the donation box and removing gold and silver ornaments from the idol of Goddess Sheetala. However, as he attempted to escape with the stolen goods, the effects of the drugs and sleep overcame him, causing him to doze off right there.

Villagers Discover the Sleeping Thief
On Tuesday morning, villagers noticed the temple door ajar and found a man deeply asleep inside. Upon suspicion, they checked his bag, which was filled with temple items, shocking the villagers. They promptly informed the officer in charge of Barajamada OP, Baleshwar Oraon.

Sleep Overcomes the Thief Mid-Heist
The police arrived at the scene and arrested the thief. They have filed charges against him for theft and property damage, and further actions are underway. The accused, identified as Veer Nayak from Tankisai, had consumed a significant amount of alcohol with friends before scaling the temple wall. During the search, police recovered the money taken from the donation box, the stolen jewelry, and T-10 sleeping pills. Although he intended to steal the silver ornaments and the money, he was unable to complete the theft. Locals are now referring to this incident as a miracle from the goddess.
