Escalating Conflict Between the US and Iran

Following the failure of talks in Islamabad, Donald Trump has issued a warning to close the Strait of Hormuz. The US Navy announced plans to initiate a blockade of this crucial maritime route on April 13, 2026, at 7:30 PM Indian time. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that their fight against Iran continues, indicating that a ceasefire could end at any moment.

Netanyahu's Commitment to Security

Netanyahu emphasized, 'On April 12, 2026, I was with my forces and brave commanders in the security zone of Lebanon. They are performing incredible work with unwavering courage. The most important thing is that they are pushing the enemy away from our borders. Our military is also addressing terrorist villages nearby. We must ensure that all Israeli citizens receive equal security. We will not rest until we restore safety.'

Reasons Behind the Failed Talks

The Israeli Prime Minister explained the reasons for the unsuccessful talks in Islamabad. He mentioned, 'The war is not over; it is ongoing. On my return from Islamabad, US Vice President JD Vance called me from the plane to inform me about the failure of the negotiations. Iran was openly violating the terms of the agreement, which the US could not tolerate.'

US Naval Blockade Announcement

Netanyahu further stated, 'Due to Iran's violations, President Trump decided to impose a naval blockade. We fully support this and are in constant communication with the US. We must confront evil with full force and in a timely manner, and we are doing just that. No other country is stepping up like the US.'

Iran's Warning to the US

In response to the US blockade threat, Iran warned that if its ports are threatened, no port in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Oman would be safe. President Trump declared that the US would immediately begin blocking ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, he has instructed the US Navy to stop vessels that have paid fees to Iran for passing through the Strait.
