Tensions Escalate: Israel Strikes Back After Hezbollah Rocket Attack
Military Actions Intensify Between Israel and Hezbollah
Washington: The Israeli Defense Forces reported that they targeted a missile launcher in Lebanon that had previously fired into Israeli territory on Thursday. This incident was part of a broader conflict, with Israeli air defenses successfully intercepting the incoming fire. Hezbollah has taken responsibility for the attack.
The Israeli military's announcement followed a statement from former President Trump, who indicated that the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon had been extended for an additional three weeks.
In response to an Israeli strike on the Lebanese village of Yater, Hezbollah claimed to have launched rockets towards Israel. Reports from Lebanon's public health ministry indicated that two individuals, including a child, sustained injuries due to Israeli artillery fire in that area.
Additionally, the ministry reported that an Israeli airstrike in the northern region, specifically near Nabatieh, resulted in the deaths of three individuals. The Israeli military confirmed that these were militants who had targeted an Israeli warplane with a missile.
