Intense Operation Underway in Jammu and Kashmir


Jammu: On Thursday, security personnel initiated a cordon and search operation in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir following an armed confrontation with suspected militants, according to officials.


The clash erupted as security forces were conducting a search operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the Shingpora region of Chhatru.


The White Knight Corps confirmed on X that contact was made with the militants during a coordinated effort with local police in Chhatru earlier today.


To enhance the operation, additional troops have been dispatched, and efforts are ongoing to neutralize the threat posed by the terrorists.


Reports indicate that two to three militants are believed to be taking refuge in the vicinity.
