Court Ruling on Land Allocation
The Telangana High Court has annulled a government order that allocated over three acres of land in Raidurg for the 'International Arbitration and Mediation Center (IAMC)' on Friday.
The bench, comprising Justice K. Lakshman and Justice K. Sujana, was hearing a public interest litigation filed by advocate Koti Raghunath Rao.
In 2021, the state government had granted 3.70 acres of land to IAMC free of charge.
The petitioner argued that the government misused its powers by issuing an objectionable order, resulting in significant financial loss to the state treasury.
Former Chief Justice N.V. Ramana had laid the foundation stone for IAMC.
