Telangana Gears Up for Khelo India Games with Grand Preparations
Meeting with Union Minister
On Thursday, Telangana's Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, accompanied by AP Jithender Reddy, the Government's Advisor for Sports Affairs, and K Shivasena Reddy, Chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana State, met with Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, in New Delhi.
Gratitude for Khelo India Games
Minister Srihari expressed gratitude on behalf of the Telangana Government to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for awarding the Khelo India Games to the state.
During their discussion, the delegation handed over an invitation letter from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to the Union Minister.
Extensive Preparations Planned
The Khelo India Games are scheduled to take place in Telangana over a span of 12 days, from December 11 to December 22. Srihari emphasized that the State Government has devised detailed plans to host the Games with grandeur and prestige.
He assured that the event would meet the highest standards, ensuring no shortcomings or negative feedback.
Invitation to the Prime Minister
Srihari also mentioned that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy intends to request a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally invite him to the Khelo India event.
Advancing Sports in Telangana
The Telangana Government has launched a new sports policy aimed at revolutionizing the sports sector within the state. Special emphasis is being placed on discovering and nurturing talented athletes from rural regions.
"With the collaboration of all involved parties, we are committed to successfully hosting the Khelo India Games and further establishing Telangana as a premier sports hub," stated Vakiti Srihari.
