Telangana CM Orders Immediate Investigation into Controversial Case
Investigation Ordered by Telangana Chief Minister
The Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, has instructed DGP C.V. Anand to promptly initiate an investigation into a case registered against Bandhi Bhagirath at the Pet Bashirabad police station. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the lack of action despite a complaint being filed on the 8th of this month.
In response to the Chief Minister's inquiry, DGP Anand explained that all police personnel were engaged in security arrangements due to Prime Minister Modi's visit to Hyderabad.
Formation of Special Teams for Thorough Investigation
The Chief Minister has directed the DGP to form special teams to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter. This directive comes amid ongoing political tensions related to allegations involving Bandhi Sanjay Kumar, a central minister and BJP leader, and his son Bandhi Sai Bhagirath.
Previously, Bandhi Sanjay Kumar claimed that a "political conspiracy" was orchestrated to tarnish his reputation, asserting that dragging children and family members into political disputes reflects the "desperation" of his opponents.
Minister's Response to Allegations
In a recent post on X, the central minister clarified that he has always respected the law and adhered to the Constitution throughout his public life. He emphasized that his life has been impeccable and expressed full confidence in the judiciary.
He further alleged that certain forces are unable to accept his rise from a marginalized community leader to a central minister. He stated that it is evident this is a political conspiracy aimed at defaming him personally ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting.
According to a press release issued by the minister's PRO, Bandhi Sai Bhagirath has lodged a complaint with the Karimnagar police regarding an alleged honey-trap and extortion attempt. The statement claims that a woman attempted to ensnare Bhagirath in a honey-trap using her daughter and subsequently blackmailed him for a substantial amount of money.
