Tejendra Dhull Reappointed as Jind BJP District President for a Second Term
Tejendra Dhull's Leadership Success
In a significant move, the BJP has reaffirmed its trust in Advocate Tejendra Dhull by reappointing him as the District President of Jind. Under his leadership, the party successfully secured victories in four out of five assembly seats in the district. Additionally, the BJP also elected its chairman in the Julana municipal elections.
The party rewarded Dhull for the impressive performance in both assembly and municipal elections. A total of 21 leaders, including BJP District General Secretary Dr. Raj Saini, Pushpa Tayal, Bharat Bhushan Tank, and Jasmer Rajana, had submitted their applications. The party confirmed Dhull's reappointment in the list of district presidents announced on Monday.
Early Involvement in BJP
Tejendra Dhull, originally from Ramraikheda village and currently residing on Apollo Road in Jind, joined the RSS during his sixth grade at Gopal Vidya Mandir. He began his journey in the BJP organization at the booth level in 1998 under the leadership of Kishan Singh Sangwan. He later served as the Vice President of the BJP Mandal and held positions as State Secretary and Vice President of the BJP Labor Cell. Dhull also had the opportunity to lead the District BJP Farmers' Front.
Following the Lok Sabha elections, he was entrusted with the role of District BJP President. He played a crucial role in strengthening the organization during the assembly and urban local body elections in Julana. Dhull expressed his desire to continue as District President and stated that serving in such a significant role within a major party like the BJP is a great honor. He is committed to fulfilling the organization's expectations and enhancing its strength.
Membership Drive Achievements
Under Dhull's leadership, the party has achieved remarkable success in its membership drive. He was appointed as District President last year, succeeding Raju Mor. In the subsequent assembly elections, the party set a new record by winning four out of five assembly seats in Jind district. This marked the first time the BJP achieved such a feat in the region.
Previously, the party had won in the 2019 by-elections and the general elections, and it had also succeeded in the Uchana assembly elections in 2014. Dhull's leadership saw the party winning for the first time in Safidon and Narwana. Although the party faced a setback in Julana during a tough contest, it recently celebrated victory in the municipal elections there as well.
Dhull's strategic planning and hard work have been credited for these successes. Despite 21 candidates expressing interest in the position of District President, the party chose Dhull, considering the caste dynamics in Jind.
Caste Dynamics in Jind
Jind is predominantly known as a Jat land. Interestingly, the party did not field any Jat candidates during the assembly elections. Instead, it nominated two Brahmins, one Punjabi, one SC category, and one OBC candidate. By appointing a Jat as District President, the party aims to strengthen its ties with the Jat community.
