Tejashwi Yadav Predicts Political Shift in Bihar Amid Nitish Kumar's Rajya Sabha Aspirations

Tejashwi Yadav has voiced his predictions regarding Nitish Kumar's political future, suggesting that the BJP's influence will lead to significant changes in Bihar's leadership. He claims that Kumar's aspirations for the Rajya Sabha are part of a larger strategy by the BJP to undermine the JDU. Yadav's remarks highlight a growing tension within Bihar's political landscape, as he vows to oppose the BJP's maneuvers. This article delves into the implications of these developments and the reactions from various political figures in the state.

Tejashwi Yadav's Reaction to Nitish Kumar's Political Moves

In response to reports about Nitish Kumar's potential move to the Rajya Sabha, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav remarked that he had already predicted Kumar would not remain as Chief Minister. He reiterated his earlier statements, asserting that the Maharashtra model has now been introduced in Bihar. According to Yadav, the BJP does not allow leaders from backward communities to hold power, instead opting for a puppet Chief Minister.

Yadav further stated, 'While Nitish has been elevated, he is being led astray by others.' He accused the BJP of completely hijacking Nitish Kumar's leadership. Kumar has expressed his desire to join the Rajya Sabha, and Yadav has consistently warned that after the elections, the BJP would not allow him to continue as Chief Minister. This prediction has now come to fruition, as public sentiment is against this shift in power.

Yadav recalled that when Kumar left their alliance in 2024, he had foreseen that the BJP would dismantle the JDU. He noted that they had anticipated this outcome. When he predicted on January 28, 2024, that the JDU would be wiped out, the BJP did not achieve the results they had claimed, which included winning 400 seats. This delay in action allowed the JDU to linger longer than expected. He criticized certain individuals for preventing necessary changes, stating that the BJP is currently ruining Bihar, a trend they have been following for some time. Yadav vowed to fight against the BJP and defeat them.

Earlier in the day, RJD leader Mritunjay Tiwari commented on the sudden political shift in Bihar, noting that no one anticipated the BJP would act so swiftly to remove Nitish Kumar from the Chief Minister's position right after the elections. Tiwari emphasized that Tejashwi Yadav had consistently warned that the BJP would eliminate the JDU and oust Kumar from power. He pointed out that while some JDU members are colluding with the BJP, others wish to keep Kumar in power, labeling this situation as a significant political abduction. The BJP's attitude towards its allies is becoming increasingly evident.
