Tejashwi Yadav Congratulates New Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Amid Criticism of NDA's Governance
Tejashwi Yadav's Response to New Chief Minister
Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the opposition leader in the Bihar Assembly, extended his congratulations to Samrat Choudhary, who was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday. Alongside his well-wishes, Yadav criticized the performance of the NDA government over the past 21 years.
In a post on X, Yadav expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Choudhary for his commitment to fulfilling his promises and for successfully removing the elected Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from power. He emphasized that he hopes the new Chief Minister is fully aware of the harsh realities that Bihar remains significantly behind the national average even after two decades of NDA rule. According to various metrics from the NITI Aayog, the state lags in areas such as quality education, healthcare, law and order, income-investment, employment, poverty-migration, and overall human development indicators.
Yadav further expressed his hope that the new government would prioritize the progress and prosperity of Bihar while safeguarding the state's interests. He stated that he expects Chief Minister Choudhary to work diligently for the development, peace, and security of Bihar, ensuring that the pride of its people is not compromised.
"I wish Samrat Choudhary all the best as he takes on this significant role," Yadav added.
Chirag Paswan's Support for Samrat Choudhary
Meanwhile, Union Minister Chirag Paswan also congratulated Choudhary, expressing confidence that under his leadership, the NDA would work collaboratively to advance Bihar's development and meet the expectations of its citizens, particularly focusing on youth leadership. Speaking to a Media House in Patna, Paswan stated, "I congratulate Samrat Choudhary. Together, we will strive to transform Bihar into a developed state. I assure the public that we will meet their expectations with this government, emphasizing youth leadership."
