Teenager Arrested for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault in Nagpur

A 19-year-old man in Nagpur has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. The accused, Nirmay Madhav Pakhare, reportedly held the victim captive for over 30 hours. Following a police rescue operation, the girl was found with multiple injuries. Pakhare has expressed dissatisfaction with his detention conditions and is facing serious charges under the POCSO Act. The investigation continues as authorities examine his mobile devices and social media accounts.

In Nagpur, a 19-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl. The accused, Nirmay Madhav Pakhare, expressed dissatisfaction with the police detention conditions, requesting pizza, a soft bed, and mosquito repellent, as reported by officials on Thursday. He has also refused to disclose the passwords for both his and the victim's mobile phones.


Details of the Crime

According to police, the 16-year-old girl became friends with the accused through Instagram. Originally from Thane, Pakhare reportedly held the girl captive in a rented apartment in Nagpur for over 30 hours, binding her hands and feet while subjecting her to multiple sexual assaults.


Rescue Operation

The police managed to rescue the girl late Monday night by breaking down the door of the rented apartment located in the Dighori area. Following his arrest, Pakhare complained about the conditions in the detention center, stating that the walls were dirty and the toilet facilities were unsanitary. He demanded pizza, higher-quality food, a comfortable bed, and mosquito repellent.


Medical Examination and Investigation

Initially, the accused refused to undergo a medical examination but was later taken to a hospital. Authorities revealed that the minor had been reported missing on August 2, prompting her family to file a complaint with the Hudkeshwar police. Utilizing technical evidence, the police located and rescued her.


Victim's Condition

Upon rescue, the girl was found with her hands and feet bound and approximately 20 visible injuries on her body, including knife wounds on her wrist and neck. She has since been admitted to a hospital for treatment.


Blackmail and Threats

Investigations revealed that Pakhare had created a fake Instagram account under the name 'Aakash Mehra' to befriend the girl, with whom he began conversing. It was discovered that she had sent him personal photos, which he later used to blackmail her by threatening to share them on social media. The police reported that he first assaulted her in a hotel and subsequently summoned her to the rented room in Dighori whenever he visited Nagpur. Charges of kidnapping and violations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act have been filed against Pakhare.
