On Saturday, a shooting incident in New York's iconic Times Square left three individuals injured, including a woman. This information was reported by local media, citing police sources.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) stated that the event occurred around 1:20 a.m. local time at the intersection of 44th Street and 7th Avenue. The situation escalated when two individuals engaged in a dispute, prompting a teenager to allegedly open fire. The sound of gunshots triggered a chaotic stampede among the crowd outside the nearby Hard Rock Cafe, leading to widespread panic.

Among the injured was an 18-year-old woman who sustained a gunshot wound to her neck, while two men, aged 19 and 65, suffered injuries to their legs. All three victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene, and a firearm was recovered. Due to the teenager's age, their identity has not been disclosed, and no charges have been filed as of yet.

This incident follows closely on the heels of a tragic shooting just a week prior, where a gunman armed with an AR-15-style rifle opened fire in a Manhattan skyscraper, resulting in four fatalities, including an off-duty police officer, before the shooter took his own life.

The earlier shooting occurred at 345 Park Avenue, a prominent 44-story building in Midtown, home to various companies, including Blackstone and the NFL. The attack caused significant alarm in the bustling business district during peak hours.

Officials reported that the gunman initially shot and killed an off-duty police officer providing security at the location. He then proceeded to fatally shoot three others, including a woman on the 33rd floor, before ending his own life.

Witnesses noted that the assailant arrived in a black BMW, entered the lobby with the rifle, and began shooting immediately, targeting the police officer first, followed by others in the vicinity.
