Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister Meets President Droupadi Murmu: What’s on the Agenda?

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay recently met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan during his visit to New Delhi. The meeting, which was shared on social media, included discussions on the state's progress and future. Vijay also met Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, who expressed hopes for Tamil Nadu's continued development. Additionally, the Chief Minister engaged with Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, highlighting the coalition's dynamics in the state. Vijay is scheduled to participate in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, making this visit pivotal for Tamil Nadu's political landscape.
 

A Significant Meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan


On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The President's office later shared a photograph from their meeting on social media.


During his three-day trip to the capital, Vijay also had a meeting with Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, who extended his warm wishes to the Chief Minister. The Vice President expressed optimism that Tamil Nadu would continue to thrive as a state characterized by peace, progress, and prosperity.


In addition to these meetings, Vijay engaged with Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, and Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, at their residence on 10, Janpath. The Congress party is part of the ruling coalition led by the TVK in Tamil Nadu.


Vijay is set to attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 11.
