Tamil Nadu Government Allocates Ministerial Departments Under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay

The Tamil Nadu government has officially allocated ministerial departments under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, retaining significant portfolios such as Home and Police. Notably, the youngest minister, Selvi S. Keertana, has been given the Industry portfolio, stirring excitement in political circles. Senior leaders have been appointed to various key roles, including Finance, Rural Development, and Health. This restructuring marks a significant step in the state's governance as new leaders take charge of essential departments.
 

Ministerial Department Allocations Announced

The Tamil Nadu government revealed the allocation of ministerial departments on Saturday under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. The Chief Minister has retained key departments, including Home, Police, and Women and Child Welfare. According to the allocations, Vijay will oversee departments such as Public Administration, General Administration, Home Administration, District Revenue Officer, Police, Special Program Implementation, Women Welfare, Youth Welfare, Child Welfare, Welfare for the Elderly and Disabled, Urban Administration, and Urban Water Supply.


Senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan has been appointed as the Finance Minister, taking charge of finance, pensions, and pension allowances in the new government. The youngest minister, Selvi S. Keertana, has been assigned the Industry portfolio and will also oversee investment promotion, making her one of the prominent figures in the cabinet. The allocation of such a significant department to a female minister has stirred excitement in Tamil Nadu's political circles.


Additional Ministerial Appointments

N. Anand has taken on the role of Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources, overseeing areas such as rural development, panchayats, poverty alleviation programs, rural credit, and minor irrigation projects. Adhav Arjun has been appointed as the Minister for Public Works and Sports Development, responsible for public works, including building construction, highways, and minor ports, alongside sports development.


Dr. K.G. Arunraj has been allocated the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare portfolio. P. Venkataramanan has been designated as the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, managing consumer protection and price control. R. Nirmalkumar has been entrusted with the Ministry of Energy Resources and Law, which includes electricity and non-conventional energy development, law, courts, prisons, anti-corruption, assembly, governor, elections, and passports.


Further Ministerial Responsibilities

Rajmohan has assumed the responsibilities of Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, and Information and Publicity. He will also oversee departments related to archaeology, Tamil language and culture, film technology and cinema acts, newspaper regulation, stationery and printing, and the government press. Dr. T.K. Prabhu has been assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources, managing the Ministry of Mines and Minerals.
