In a recent address, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin sharply criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, framing the upcoming elections as a battle between the NDA and Tamil Nadu. He highlighted the state's impressive economic growth and achievements, asserting that they were accomplished despite challenges posed by the central government. Stalin emphasized the superiority of the Dravidian model over the BJP's ideology, which he described as rooted in violence and hate. He also outlined his vision for the future, committing to continued progress in the coming years. This bold stance sets the stage for a significant electoral contest in Tamil Nadu.

Stalin's Strong Critique of BJP and Modi

Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, launched a fierce critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, framing the upcoming electoral battle as "NDA versus Tamil Nadu." He asserted that the achievements of his administration were accomplished despite intentional pressures and obstacles. Stalin contrasted the progressive development model of Dravidian ideology with the BJP's approach, which he described as a blend of violence, hate speech, and regressive ideas.

Highlighting Tamil Nadu's Economic Growth

While addressing an event in Chennai, he emphasized that Tamil Nadu is the only state to achieve double-digit growth rates. Stalin remarked that due to their comprehensive performance, the BJP government has recognized Tamil Nadu as the top state in economic performance. He stated, "Not only are we number one, but Tamil Nadu is also the sole state to achieve double-digit growth rates. In addition to economic progress, Tamil Nadu ranks first in the human development index, which fills me with pride and honor."

Criticism of BJP's Governance

Stalin directly targeted the BJP's so-called 'double engine' governments, questioning whether BJP-ruled states across India could demonstrate similar development. He asserted, "Absolutely not. They (BJP) only promote violence, hate-filled speeches, and regressive ideologies. In stark contrast, our Dravidian model government stands firm. It is crucial to note that all these achievements were made without the support of the central government. In fact, we accomplished them despite the pressures and obstacles they created."

Vision for the Future

Stalin emphasized that he assumed office in 2021 with a ten-year vision. He stated, "We are working at a pace even faster than I envisioned. To implement our vision, we will continue to operate in mission mode for the next five years." Responding to recent allegations by Prime Minister Modi regarding the Maduravoyal road project, Stalin attributed previous delays to court injunctions during the tenure of the AIADMK. He added, "After taking office, we coordinated with the central government, obtained approvals, and now the work is progressing."
