T Dilip, the former fielding coach for the Indian cricket team, shared his most cherished memory, highlighting the profound silence in the dressing room following their historic T20 World Cup victory in 2024. He emphasized that this moment encapsulated the dedication and effort the players had invested over the years.

T Dilip's Tenure and Achievements

Dilip held the position of fielding coach from 2021 until the end of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He returned for a second term during India's Test tour in the UK in 2025 but was not retained after his contract ended. Throughout his time with the team, he contributed to India's triumphs in the ICC T20 World Cups of 2024 and 2026, as well as the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

During his coaching period, the introduction of the fielding medal became a hallmark of India's commitment to excellence in fielding. Subhadeep Ghosh Takes Over as Fielding Coach

Subhadeep Ghosh has been appointed as the new fielding coach for the Indian men's cricket team ahead of their upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka, as reported by Cricinfo. Ghosh, 57, previously served as the fielding coach for the Indian women's team for two years, contributing to the support staff during the 2022 Women's ODI World Cup and the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup. He has also worked with India A and has experience as the head coach for Assam's senior men's team.

As a player, Ghosh was a right-handed batsman who represented Assam and Railways, participating in 17 first-class matches and 17 List A games during his domestic career.

Upcoming Series Against Sri Lanka

India is set to commence their two-Test series against Sri Lanka on August 15 in Galle, with the second Test scheduled for August 23 at the SSC in Colombo.
